The Art of Productive Procrastination
me: I should do the thing brain: but what if we thought about doing the thing for 6 hours instead me: brilliant
And somehow those 6 hours feel incredibly productive. I've mentally planned the task from 47 different angles. I've imagined completing it. I've thought about how good it will feel when it's done. I've even mentally rehearsed the celebration.
What I haven't done is start.
But honestly at this point the mental labor alone deserves compensation. I've lived this task. I've experienced it. The fact that it doesn't exist in physical reality yet feels like a minor technicality.
Tomorrow though. Tomorrow for sure.
